Shinra SOLDIER: First Class.

A SOLDIER legend once revered as a hero. Once thought to have died during a certain mission, he has reappeared before Cloud and his allies with a new ambition to become ruler of the planet.

Praised as a hero for his peerless skill and many achievements, he is sent to enemy territory—the isles of Rhadore—on a dangerous mission. However, his stellar reputation seems to hide many secrets.

Shinra SOLDIER: Second Class.

Earnest and hardworking, he believes all SOLDIERs are his friends, and is appointed team leader on his mission with Sephiroth. He carries around a giant sword that he cherishes too much to use.

Former SOLDIER: First Class.
  
 After leaving Shinra, Cloud started working as a mercenary for hire in Midgar and, at the request of his childhood friend Tifa, aided the anti-Shinra organization Avalanche. He can unleash a wide variety of attacks with his massive broadsword.

 A man with a brawny build and a weaponized prosthetic right arm. While his hatred for Shinra runs deep, he's also a loving father who dotes on his daughter, Marlene.

A member of the anti-Shinra organization Avalanche, and Cloud's childhood friend.
  
 She runs Seventh Heaven—a bar in the Sector 7 slums—while taking part in Avalanche operations.

A flower girl who lives in the Sector 5 slums.
  
 She regularly visits a church on the town's outskirts to tend to the flowers that grow there. She has a fateful encounter with Cloud on the night the Sector 1 reactor was bombed.

A beast with red fur, sharp claws and fangs, and a fiery tail, who also speaks the language of humans.
  
 Imprisoned in Professor Hojo's lab as a research specimen, he was given the name Red XIII by his captor.

A """"beguiling ninja"""" and skilled materia hunter.
  
 After the war with Shinra, she works to restore her home, Wutai, to its former glory. She tags along with Cloud and the others in an attempt to get her hands on their materia.



A self-proclaimed fortune-telling machine.
  
This wisecracking cat rides on the back of a large moogle—the Gold Saucer's mascot—as he shouts orders into his bullhorn. He follows the heroes on their journey to witness the outcome of their fortunes with his own eyes.

A former member of the Turks.
  
 Burdened by guilt for past deeds, for years he slept in the basement of the Shinra mansion. When he learns Cloud and the others are in pursuit of Sephiroth, he decides to accompany them.

A legendary pilot.
  
 He was chosen to fly a Shinra rocket into outer space, but its launch was canceled and the program was scrapped. Even so, he continues to maintain the rocket in hopes of one day achieving his dream of going to space.

Shinra SOLDIER: Second Class. He left his hometown and came to Midgar with dreams of becoming a hero.
  
He tackles his assignments head-on as he aspires to one day be promoted to SOLDIER: First Class.

Shinra SOLDIER: P0 Class.
  
He volunteers for a mission in enemy territory—one with a large reward—to locate a site for the construction of a mako reactor. He leads his friends to the Rhadoran isles on his first mission as leader.

Shinra SOLDIER: P0 Class.
  
His memory and judgment earned him the nickname ""Professor"" as well as Glenn's trust. At Glenn's request, he decides to join him on his mission.

Shinra SOLDIER: P0 Class.
  
An advisory officer for the military, she spends her days training cadets. However, she volunteers to join Glenn on his mission to exercise her skills as a sniper.
